MOSCOW, April 16 (KUNA) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry on Saturday slapped sanctions on Prime Minister Boris Johnson and other British ministers in response to what it called "unprecedented hostile practices" against Russia.
Johnson and several other top officials will be denied entry into Russia after the British government adopted recently a new round of sanction against Russia over the current military operation in Ukraine.
The British authorities have launched an unbridled political and media campaign, aiming to isolate Russia and choke its economy, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
The Ministry accused the British government of "deliberately aggravating" the situation in Ukraine and flooding the regime in Kyiv with lethal weapons.
The Russian sanctions include UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss, Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab, Defense Secretary Ben Wallace, Secretary of State for the Home Department Priti Patel, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Kwasi Kwarteng, First Minister of Scotland Nicola Sturgeon and former prime minister Theresa May.
