RAMALLAH, Feb 23 (KUNA) -- The Palestinians on Wednesday joined in the fun as Kuwait readies for celebrations to mark its national day, expressing their fondness for Kuwait with public displays that encapsulate the amity shared between both sides.
Images of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah are ubiquitous in Palestinian cities across the West Bank, which the Palestinians say is a token of appreciation for the overwhelming support and aid Kuwait has given them over the years.
"Palestinians are no stranger to these initiatives that prove Kuwait is in the heart of every Palestinian," the country's ambassador to Jordan Aziz Al-Daihani told KUNA, underlining Kuwait's unwavering support for the Palestinians and their aspirations for statehood.
The Palestinians have organized a slew of activities to mark the festive occasion, with local charities, hospitals and orphanages coming together to express how "grateful" they are for the copious amount of aid they have received from Kuwait, agreeing that a resounding thank you message was the least they could do.
