BERLIN, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Lufthansa, largest German airlines, announced Monday halting flights to Ukrainian capital, Kiev, due to mounting tensions in the region.
According to A statement by the Frankfurt-based airlines, the decision will also include Odessa, a coastal city overlooking the Black Sea, but exempt Lviv, located west of the country.
The airline's decision will also encompass subsidiary airlines; Austrian Air, Swiss Air, Brussel Airlines and German Euro Wings.
The crisis has deteriorated over the past few weeks as thousands of Russian soldiers amass at Ukrainian borders, worrying the Ukrainian government and Western countries alike. (end) anj.aai
