ALGIERS, Feb 3 (KUNA) -- The Test Garden of Hamma, standing in the middle of Algiers, is a peculiar site for visitors with its unique plants and trees, making it one of the worldØ¢’s most eye-catching botanical gardens.
Designed in 1832, the garden includes 2,500 species of plants and trees as well as animals living in an average climate of 25 degrees Celsius.
During the French colonization between 1830-1962, the garden had been the venue of various scientific experiments. It is divided into two sections; one French and the other British.
Adding to its historical value, the Hamma Garden was one of the shooting locations of one of the Tarzan movies franchise back in the 1930s. (end) mr.gta
