KUWAIT, Jan 27 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health said on Thursday that 6,515 more people tested positive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours, taking the country's caseload to 521,341.
Some 5,063 more patients recovered from the virus to up the number of those to have overcome the disease to 469,916, said the ministry's Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad to KUNA, adding that the recovery to positive case ratio stands at 90.1 percent.
One fatality linked to the respiratory virus raised the country's death toll from the pandemic to 2,490, while 410 people are hospitalized with the virus, 86 of whom are in intensive care units, he told KUNA.
Some 36,377 swab tests were conducted over the last day, out of a total of 6,786,442 so far, added the spokesman. (end) mrv.mt
