March 8: His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah chaired a meeting with officials of Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), during which Dr. Khaled Ali Mohammad Al-Fadhel was selected as KFAS Director General.
May 31: His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, accompanied by an official delegation, departed to Saudi Arabia on an official visit.
June 1: His Highness the Crown Prince arrived in Saudi Arabia for an official visit, which reflected the historical deep-rooted bilateral relations.
