TEHRAN, Dec 7 (KUNA) -- A senior Iranian official declared on Tuesday that negotiations with major powers regarding its nuclear program would resume in Vienna on Thursday.
Iran's top negotiator Ali Bagheri Kani said in televised remarks that the negotiations with the four-plus-one group would resume in Vienna on Thursday, noting that the Iranian side would hold talks at the experts' level.
Iran will also consult with Russia so that the Vienna talks "would resume in a constructive atmosphere," he added.
Bagheri said that Iran had involved in the recent round of negotiations "with very constructive proposals to lift the sanctions and address nuclear measures," adding that Tehran was waiting for "practical steps" from the Western states.
The talks at this level resumed in Vienna last week after a five-month halt with aim of reviving the nuclear deal from which the US unilaterally withdrew in 2018. (end) mw.rk
