KUWAIT, Nov 30 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health is partaking in the second extraordinary meeting of the World Health Organization assembly, hosted by Geneva as of today (Tuesday).
The participating delegations are scheduled to discuss PROPSECTS OF declaring an agreement on coordinated preparedness at the global level to face pandemics.
Dr. Rehab Al-Watyan, the head of the Kuwaiti delegation, said in a statement that the conferees would also examine lessons taken on how to cope with the coronavirus pandemic and a report by a team assigned by the organization to study the virus developments and methods of dealing with the outbreak.
Moreover, they are examining needs for updating international health regulations and boosting nations' readiness to cope with viruses' outbreaks. (end) mrf.rk
