KHARTOUM, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Sudanese authorities on Saturday released a number of former officials arrested by the Sudanese army on 25 October, less than a day after beginning their hunger strike.
Sudanese Information Ministry noted in a statement on their official account on facebook that the released officials were the Cabinet Affairs Minister in the dissolved government Khaled Omar Youssef, Khartoum governor Ayman Khaled Nemer and the financial commissioner of the Empowerment Removal Committee Maher Abu Al-Goukh.
It added that many politicians are still imprisoned, as some of them announced a hunger strike on Friday to protest against their detention.
