RIYADH, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- The Ministry of Interior of Saudi Arabia said Thursday that travelers from six countries would be allowed to enter the Kingdom directly as of Wednesday, December 1, 2021, without having to stay in a third country for 14 days.
These countries are Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, Pakistan and Vietnam, the Saudi Press agency reported, citing a source in the Ministry.
Arrivals have to spend five days in institutional quarantine regardless of their immunization status outside the Kingdom, the source said, noting that exceptions issued for some categories of people are still applicable.
The decision to resume direct entry from these countries and ease the coronavirus (Covid-19) restrictions was issued based on the continuous follow-up of the epidemiological situation locally and globally, he added.
The source stressed the importance of adhering to all precautionary and preventive measures relating to the combat against the pandemic. (end) mdm.mmj.gb
