VIENNA, Nov 22 (KUNA) -- Austrians can still travel abroad despite imposition of the full lockdown against the coronavirus that went into effect as of Monday.
The Austrian Ministry of Health said in a statement that travel abroad remained governed by rules of the countries of destination for the travelling Austrians.
Austria imposed earlier today the fourth total lockdown in the country, effective until December 12.
Departing travellers must present a vaccination certificate valid for six to nine months, another proving recovery from the infection, providing a negative-result PCR not older than 72 hours or undergoing rapid test.
Meanwhile, the Austrian Ministry of Interior said in a statement that students and workers who shuttle daily or several times per week to neighboring countries are exempted from PCRs if they are immunized or cured of the infection. (pickup previous) amq.rk
