ANKARA, Oct 25 (KUNA) -- Turkey on Monday expressed its "deep concern" over reports of an apparent coup in Sudan, where soldiers have arrested most cabinet members, including Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok.
"We underscore our strong expectation that all sides in Sudan adhere to the commitments within the framework of the Constitutional Declaration and refrain from disrupting the transition process," state-run Anadolu news agency quoted a foreign ministry statement.
Sudan's information ministry said that a number of civilian leaders and members of the sovereign council were arrested on Monday in an apparent military takeover. (end) rs.nam
