KUWAIT, Oct 11 (KUNA) -- Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Public Security Affairs Major General Faraj Al-Zoghbi on Monday underlined the importance of partnership as a societal responsibility to preserve Kuwait's environment and natural life.
This came in a speech delivered by al-Zoghbi, on behalf of Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, during a festival on documenitng the natural life held by the Kuwait Environment Protection Society (KEPS).
Al-Zoghbi said that the partnership between the society and the ministry is part of a protocol that has contributed to the success of the program, and spreading awareness and culture of environmental law.
He noted that the ministry is providing all means and logistical support, and full protection to the teams working in monitoring the components of wildlife, and facilitating and simplifying procedures in all border areas.
Meanwhile, Chairperson of Kuwait Environment Protection Society Dr. Wejdan Al-Oqab said that the Society has 17 governmental partners that have participated in work on behalf of the KPES for Kuwait.
The festival came to honor a number of people who contributed to boosting cooperation amongst several ministries, governmental institutions, the civil society and the private sector, she added. (end)
