By Khaled Al-Daihani LONDON, Sept 22 (KUNA) -- A Kuwaiti diplomat on Wednesday said his country and Britain enjoy a "strategic partnership" that "bodes well for regional peace and stability," highlighting a mutual understanding over various matters.
Kuwait's "pivotal role" is supported by the UK given the two countries' common viewpoints, Majdi Al-Theferi said after talks with State Minister for Middle East and North Africa James Cleverly.
On Iran's talks with world powers over reviving the 2015 nuclear deal, he said Kuwait is always a proponent of "sustained dialogue" as the answer to break the impasse. The Kuwaiti diplomat went on to say that he discussed the crisis in Yemen at length with the UK minister, hoping for a swift end to the conflict there and a return to stability.
