DOHA, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdurrahman Al-Thani on Sunday affirmed his country's commitment to supporting all efforts aiming to achieve Afghanistan's national reconciliation.
This came in a meeting between the Qatari top diplomat and Afghan interim Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund, Qatar's News Agency reported.
The meeting discussed means of enhancing peace in Afghanistan and latest developments regarding operating Kabul airport to ensure travel movement.
The two sides stressed the importance of concerted efforts to combat terrorist organizations that threaten stability in Afghanistan, the agency noted.
The Qatari minister added that he urged Afghan officials to involve all parties in the country's national reconciliation process.
Meanwhile, the agency said that Sheikh Mohammad Bin Abdurrahman also met with former president of Afghanistan Hamid Karzai and head of the national reconciliation committee Abdullah Abdullah at Kabul airport today.
