GAZA, Aug 4 (KUNA) -- Israeli Army gunners on Wednesday shelled locations in South Lebanon in retaliation for launching rockets in the direction of Israeli settlements close to the Israeli-Lebanese borders.
Spokesman of the Israeli Army said the Israeli artillerymen targeted locations in South Lebanon after three missiles were launched in the direction of the settlements adjacent to the border line.
One of the rockets fell short of the target, crashing in Lebanese territories and two others crashed in uninhabited lands close to Kiryat Shemona settlement in the Upper Galilee, he said.
In Beirut, the Lebanese media reported that rockets were fired from southern Lebanon on the occupied Palestinian territories and sirens blared in Kiryat Shemona.
Al-Jadeed television station said the "occupation army responded to the sources of fire with artillery bombardment." There were no reports about losses.
Such incidents have repeatedly taken place recently. (end) fk.wib.rk
