KUWAIT, June 22 (KUNA) -- A number of countries across the globe on Tuesday declared their deaths, infections and recoveries of the coronavirus (COVID-19) over the past 24 hours.
Sudan's health officials confirmed one death due to the virus and 31 new infections in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, Sudanese health ministry said the death toll in the country reached 2,748 people, while total infections went up to 36,522 cases.
Tunisian health officials confirmed 105 fatalities due to Covid-19, and 2,345 new infections in the past 24 hours.
In a statement, the ministry said the death toll in the country reached 14,223 and total infections was up to 387,773 cases.
In Morocco, health officials reported three fatalities due to Covid-19, and 437 new infections in the past 24 hours.
In a press release, the Moroccan health ministry said the death toll reached 9,247 and total infections 527,174 cases.
Meanwhile, in Italy health officials confirmed 31 deaths due to Covid-19 and 835 new infections.
A statement by the ministry noted a decrease in the number of patients in the ICUs, which reached 362 people, adding the death toll in the country reached 127,322 and total infections up to 4,254,294 cases.
On another front, France reported 51 fatalities, and 2,204 new infections in the past 24 hours.
Health officials said the death toll in the country due to Covid-19 reached 110,829 people and total infections 5,760,002 cases.
In the United Kingdom, health officials reported 27 fatalities, bringing the death toll 128,008 people.
