VIENNA, March 29 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) announced, Monday, that the price of its basket rose 93 cents per barrel (pb) to settle at USD 62.66 pb last Friday, after it was USD 61.63 last Thursday.
The OPEC Bulletin stated that the monthly average price of the basket last February was USD 61.05 pb, while last January was USD 54.38 pb, which indicates that the average price of the basket reached since the beginning of this year until the end of last week to USD 78.64 pb.
In its latest periodic report, the organization expected that the demand on it's raw materials will reach USD 27.3 million bp this year, which considered an increase of USD 4.9 million pb compared to 2020. (end) amq.gaa
