TEHRAN, March 1 (KUNA) -- Iran declared on Monday it would not supply the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) with any information about its nuclear activities unless sanctions on the nation were lifted.
State-run television quoted Behrouz Kamalvandi, spokesman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, as saying that the government decided to abstain from providing any information to the IAEA until Tehran would see cancellation of the curbs.
"If the sanction are not removed in three months, we will omit security cameras' data," Kamalvandi said, affirming that Tehran would put such data at disposal of the international agency in case the curbs were removed.
Additional Protocol is currently "halted," the spokesperson said, indicating that the decision to suspend the protocol would be referred to the parliament for approval.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi declared on Sunday, at end of his visit to Tehran, that he reached a temporary technical agreement with the Iranian authorities for a three-month mandate.
According to the deal, IAEA's inspectors will be allowed to inspect and monitor nuclear sites in Iran during the set duration. (end) mw.rk
