KUWAIT, Jan 19 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health declared on Tuesday recording 578 new infection cases with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), during last 24 hours, raising the caseload to 158,822.
The ministry official spokesperson Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA that there were two deaths, due to infection with the contagion during the same period, putting the death toll at 950.
Meanwhile, 53 patients are languishing at ICUs amid life support equipment and devices, with the whole number of the cases of proven infection and remaining under treatment standing at 5,936.
Moreover, the medical authorities conducted over the past 24 hours up to 8,845 swab tests withe overall count of such examinations amounting to 1.415,197. (end) mak.rk
