RABAT, Dec 8 (KUNA) -- King Mohammad VI instructed the government on Tuesday to provide all citizens with coronavirus (Covid-19) vaccines free of charge.
This generous and humanitarian gesture stems from the King's constant care for all segments of the people since the very beginning of the pandemic, according to a Royal Court statement. The Moroccan health authorities have started developing lists of the persons who are more vulnerable and have priority access to the vaccines in the coming weeks.
Those include the frontline health workers and the elderly persons.
Last Friday, the Ministry of Health said it inked an agreement with China's Sinopharm to use its vaccine in Morocco's national Covid-19 vaccination program, targeting up to 80 percent of adults. (end) mry.gb
