ABU DHABI, Dec 1 (KUNA) -- People in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will be celebrating on Wednesday, December second, their country's 49th national day with coronavirus (COVID-19) countermeasures being observed.
The authorities in the UAE, a country established in 1971, will encourage the use of facemasks and practicing social distancing during the national celebrations.
While adhering to the new social norms, celebrations will be held focusing on the latest achievements especially in the space exploration and energy domains in 2020.
Emirati contributions to the global humanitarian field as well as amendments to laws enabling expatriates to launch self-owned businesses in the UAE will also be touted during national celebrations.
