DUBAI, Nov 25 (KUNA) -- Kuwait and the UAE share common history and heritage, said Kuwaiti Consul General in Dubai, Theyab Al-Rashidi, stressing the strength of fraternal relations between the two countries.
This came during the celebration organized Wednesday by the Kuwaiti Consulate in Dubai on the occasion of the UAE 49th National Day.
The ceremony was held with the participation of the Director-General of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Office Sheikh Maktoum bin Butti Al-Maktoum and a number of consuls of brotherly and friendly countries in the UAE.
Al-Rashidi stressed that the Kuwaiti-Emirati relations include all aspects of cooperation, clearly evidenced by the number of agreements signed between the two countries.
He noted that the economic ties are witnessing a steady growth with the presence of dozens of Kuwaiti companies operating in the UAE market that contribute directly to the development of the UAE economy, while the volume of trade exchange between the two brotherly countries reached more than one billion Kuwaiti dinars in 2019 alone.
The consul indicated that the leadership of the two countries represented by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al-Nahyan always pushing for bilateral cooperation and common goals.
He finally congratulated the leadership and people of the UAE on the 49th National Day and Commemoration Day, wishing continued prosperity and progress for the brotherly country. (end) smr.aa
