KUWAIT, July 30 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health said Thursday 626 new Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections were confirmed over the past 24 hours, taking the count of cases up to 66,529.
The ministry also recorded a single fatality due to the viral infection, bringing the country's death toll to 445 so far, the ministry's Spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said in a statement to KUNA.
The latest infections include 413 Kuwaitis (65.97 percent) and 213 non-Kuwaitis (34.03 percent, he added.
In addition, 8,754 virus patients were still receiving necessary medical treatment, including 134 cases in intensive care units, Dr. Al-Sanad pointed out.
Medical teams carried out 3,811 Covid-19 tests over the last 24 hours, bringing the total count of swab tests to 502,168 since the outbreak of the virus in the country, he added.
Earlier in the day, the Ministry of Health said 863 patients recovered from the Covid-19 pandemic in the past 24 hours to raise total recoveries to 57,330. (Pick up previous) mak.mt
