RAMALLAH, July 9 (KUNA) -- The Israeli occupation forces shot dead a Palestinian man in Salfit governorate, the West Bank on Thursday.
The man, a resident of Haris village, died of a bullet wound in the neck soon after being admitted into Salfit Hospital, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said in a press release tonight.
Salfit Governor Abdullah Mamil denounced the incident as "a cold-blooded crime." He identified the victim as Ibrahim Abu-Ya'qoub, 29, saying that the man was brutally murdered while walking with his friends in the village.
Kamil held the Israeli occupation forces responsible for "the unjustifiable crime, which is part of a chain of crimes against our people." Meanwhile, witnesses said another man was shot in the leg by the Israeli soldiers in the same village and was rushed to a Ramallah hospital. (end) nq.maa.gb
