KUWAIT, June 3 (KUNA) -- Turkish Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Wednesday that 24 people died of the novel coronavirus in the past 24 hours while 867 persons tested positive for the disease.
Koca was quoted by the Anadolu news agency, monitored in Kuwait, as saying total deaths reached 4,609 while registered cases increased to 166,422.
He added 931 people recovered today to increase recoveries to 130,852.
Koca said there were 612 patients in the intensive care units, of them 261 attached to ventilators.
Laboratories, he added, conducted 52,305 tests today, and over 2.155 million since outbreak of the pandemic in Turkey. (end) rs.ibi
