DUBAI, May 25 (KUNA) -- Government of UAE's Emirate of Dubai decided Monday to reopen the economy on May 27, and allow people to move between 6:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m..
The decision to reopen the emirate and the economy was based on "accurate assessment" of the health, economic and social conditions, Dubai Crown Prince and President of the Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan Al-Maktoum said in a statement.
He said there were "calculated" steps to return to normal life hand-in-hand with health measures.
The decision said people should wear face masks when out of the house and abide by a two-meter physical distancing.
People under 12 years old and olrder than 60 would be allowed into shopping malls, cinemas, sport centers and educational centers, said the decision, neither those suffering from chronic diseases.
Retailers and wholesalers, clinics, training institutions and gyms are allowed to operate.
Entertainment centers and arcades are allowed to function as well.
The UAE's total coronavirus cases is around 30,000 and deaths are 248. (end) smr.bs
