KUWAIT, April 9 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti Ministry of Health announced on Thursday recording 55 infection cases of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) raising total number of patients with the virus in the country to 910.

During the Health Ministry's daily press briefing, spokesman Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad said that the new announced cases included 51 patients coming in contact with individuals contracting the disease.
The list includes four Kuwaitis, 36 Indian residents, six Bangladeshis, two Pakistanis, one Iranian, one Nepalese and one Egyptian national.
Epidemical investigation cases are at four, revealed Dr. Al-Sanad, adding that they include two Kuwaitis, an Indian national and a Syrian.
The number of ICU patients suffering from coronavirus (COVID-19) is at 22 with 14 in stable condition and eight critical. The total number of coronavirus patients treated in Kuwait is at 798, stated the spokesman. (end) mak.gta
