CAIRO, March 29 (KUNA) -- The Arab League has called on international organizations to shoulder their responsibility towards exposing Israel's racist policies and human rights violations against Palestinian people.
In a press statement on Sunday on the occasion of 44th anniversary of the Palestinian Land Day, the pan-Arab organization said as the world is grappling to counter the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, Israel continues its crimes against Palestinian people.
The Israeli occupiers are seizing this opportunity to implement their plans to usurp Palestinian land and depriving Palestinian people of their basic rights enshrined by the international law.
The Land Day is the day when Palestinians hold demonstrations to mark the loss of their land to Israel in 1948.
It is held on 30 March in commemoration of six Palestinians who were killed by Israeli security forces in 1976 during mass protests against the farm confiscations in the Galilee. (end) mfm.ibi
