RIYADH, March 29 (KUNA) -- The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Sunday condemned a recent ballistic missile attack by Yemeni Houthi militia on Riyadh.
Such "terrorist attack" does not target Saudi Arabia by itself; but the overall Gulf security and stability, as it represents a loud violation to all international laws, said Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, GCC's Secretary General in a statement. The attack resulted in the injury of two people in the Saudi capital.
Reiterating support all measures the Kingdom would take to defend its land and protect its citizens, Al-Hajraf called on the international community to shoulder its responsibility in countering those terrorist acts.
Two civilians were slightly injured by the shrapnel of ballistic missiles fired by Houthi militias towards Riyadh and Jazan late on Saturday but were intercepted and destroyed by the Saudi Air Force, according the Saudi civil aviation. (end) mdm.hb
