KUWAIT, March 28 (KUNA) -- China reported no new domestically transmitted cases of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) late on Friday, according to health authorities.
But, 54 more confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland on Friday, all of which were imported, the National Health Commission said in its daily briefing, Hubei saw three new deaths, all of which were in Wuhan. No new suspected cases were reported Friday in the province, it said, adding that no new confirmed cases of the disease were reported in Wuhan in the last 24 hours.
The number of COVID-19 cases in China since December is now 81,340, while the death toll is 3,292, according to the health commission.
A total of 74,588 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals across the country. (end) mab.mt
