KUWAIT, March 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry Khaled Al-Roudhan signed a resolution Wednesday that would penalize every merchant who manipulate prices of goods, the ministry said.
Al-Roudhan signed the resolution after the government adopted a set of measures aimed at curbing spread of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19.
The ministry said in a statement prices of goods should not be changed following the issuance of the resolution, and whoever violated this decision would be exposed to penalties.
The Ministry's Undersecretary would be overseeing implementation of the resolution to make sure merchants would not change prices.
