KUWAIT, Feb 26 (KUNA) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Health on Wednesday reported six new coronavirus (COVID-19) cases, taking the country's total infections up to 18.
The new cases are Kuwaiti citizens coming from Iran, the ministry said in a press statement to KUNA.
All reported COVID-19 cases are in good health and receiving medical treatment at a hospital equipped to deal with coronavirus cases, it added.
The coronavirus was first detected in China in December 2019 and has spread to more than 30 other countries.
Chinese health authority said Wednesday that it had received reports of 406 new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus infection and 52 deaths.
The overall confirmed cases on the mainland had reached 78,064 by the end of Tuesday, and 2,715 people had died of the disease, it added. (Pick up previous) amh.mt
