CAIRO, Feb 21 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Kazma SC Volleyball team defeated Iraq's Peshmerga 3-1 on Friday in the opening matches of the fourth group in the 48th Arab volleyball tournament for Clubs, hosted in Egypt.
The match, which took place at the Cairo-based Arab Contractors Sports Club's hall, resulted in Kazma losing the first set 16-25, but won the rest 25-20, 25-22, and 25-23.
Head of Kazma's team delegation Khaled Al-Baho told KUNA that the team are relentlessly keen to make splendid performance and better represent Kuwait in this tournament.
Al-Baho noted that the fourth group also includes, Palestinian Sinjel Club, as well as the Saudi Al-Ahli club, but the latter decided to withdraw from the tournament. (end) asm.mb
