ANKARA, Feb 17 (KUNA) -- Kuwaitis came first on the tourists list of the Turkish city, Bursa, in 2019 with more than 50,000 visitors, a report said Monday.
The total number of foreign tourists to the city located in western Turkey reached 1.6 million visitors last year, including 150,000 Arab tourists, according to the report, issued by Bursa's governor.
Kuwaitis came on top of the list with 64,606 tourists to the city in 2019, followed by Saudis with 36,211 visitors, it added.
Syrians came in third place with more than 9,000, Iraqis with 6,000, Qataris with 7,000 and Bahrainis with 6,000 tourists, Anadolu Agency reported.
Bursa abounds in religious, cultural and historical monuments, and it embraces areas that are listed in the World Heritage Sites of the United Nations Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (UNESCO). (end) rs.nhq
