1950 -- Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the 10th ruler of Kuwait, passes away aged 65 after ruling the country for 29.
1963 -- Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah opens the first session of the National Assembly's legislative term, in which Abdulaziz Al-Saqer was elected as the Speaker.
1974 -- A partnership agreement was signed between Kuwait Oil Company (KOC), represented by BP Kuwait Limited Co., with Kuwait Gulf Oil Company, according to which the government bought 60 percent of its concession in return for compensation based on the book value of the assets of the company.
2003 -- World Health Organization approves the Kuwaiti prize allocated for scientists contributing to researches of heart diseases, cancer and anti-smoking.
2006 -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was sworn in accordance to Article 60 of the Constitution, as Kuwait's 15th ruler.
2008 - His Highness the Amir signs a law establishing companies to develop and implement public warehouse and border crossings.

2013 -- The Conference of the non-governmental organizations for the relief of the Syrian people concluded with pledges around USD 182 million for Syrian refugees.
2017 -- Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED) inked a USD 14.1 million grant to Jordan bankroll the operations of Cities and Villages Development Bank (CVDB).
