1963 -- Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah signs a decree appointing Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Prime Minister.
1971 -- Bank of Kuwait and the Middle East established with a capital of around KD 70.4 million.
1998 -- Kuwait joins UN list of honor after fully paying its USD 1.62 million annual contributions in the UN budget.
2004 -- Former Parliament Member Mubarak Al-Daboos passes away at the age of 74. Al-Daboos was a member in the first legislative session of 1963, the third in 1967 and the fifth in 1981.
2012 -- Kuwait signs an agreement with the International Atomic Energy Agency, according to which it contributes USD 10 million to the IAEA for the establishment of a nuclear fuel bank.
2013 -- Kuwait Petroleum International (KPI) and its partners sign a deal with an international consotrium to establish USD nine billion oil refinery and petrochemical complex in northern Vietnam.
2014 -- Kuwait and Greece sign an agreement to exempt holders of diplomatic and special passport from visa.
