ANKARA, Jan 25 (KUNA) -- The 6.5-magnitude earthquake that struck eastern Turkey yesterday has left at least 29 people dead and 1,466 others injured, according to the latest emergency response agency figures.
Search and rescue have additionally pulled out some 43 people from under the rubble, the agency said in a statement.
A total 72 homes in the province have totally collapsed with just under 1,000 homes receiving various degrees of damage.
The region had also suffered 462 aftershocks, including 14 tremors exceeding the 4-magnitude mark. (pickup previous) rs.sd
