MOSCOW, Jan 17 (KUNA) -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Friday affirmed Moscow would partake in the international conference for Libya due in Berlin on Sunday.
Lavrov, speaking at a news conference, expressed support for Germany's call for holding the convention, favoring largest number possible of participants in the planned gathering.
He urged warring Libyan groups to abstain from presenting new terms for settling the crisis stressing on the necessity that they adhere to the truce.
A few days ago, talks in Moscow that grouped representatives of Russia, Turkey, internationally recognized Libyan government and the East-based Libyan leadership, concluded without tangible results.
The Berlin talks will engage representatives of the United Nations, the United States of America, Russia, China, Italy, Britain, Turkey, Egypt, the UAE, Algeria and international organizations. (end) as.rk
