WASHINGTON, Dec 13 (KUNA) -- The White House has labelled a House Judiciary Committee vote to advance two impeachment articles against the president as a "desperate charade." "The President looks forward to receiving in the Senate the fair treatment and due process which continues to be disgracefully denied to him by the House," said a spokesperson ahead of a full House vote, which is expected to pass on Wednesday.
For his part, President Donald Trump said that despite being a "very sad thing for our country but it seems to be very good for me politically.
"The polls have gone through the roof for Trump," he said in defiance of the announcement.
He went on to describe the plans as a "witch hunt." "It's a sham. It's a hoax. Zero was done wrong," he said. "The people are disgusted." "I wouldn't mind the long process, because I'd like to see the whistleblower, who's a fraud," he said, in reference to the individual behind the allegations. (pick up previous) asj.sd
