BAGHDAD, Nov 15 (KUNA) -- At least two persons were killed and a dozen others wounded when a bomb blast hit in a mass protest near the Liberation Sq. in central Baghdad on Friday.
A similar bombing injured 11 persons in Nasiriyah city, about 225 miles southeast Baghdad.
An improvised explosive device (IED) blew off near the Liberation Sq. where dozens of thousands of protesters have been continuing their demonstrations since October 25, witnesses told KUNA.
Meanwhile, medical sources in Nasiriyah, the provincial capital of the southern Dhi Qar Governorate, said 11 persons were injured in a bomb blast at Al-Haboubi Sq.
Baghdad's is the first deadly bomb attack on protesters in three weeks of demonstrations. (end) ahh.gb
