KUWAIT, July 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's stock exchange (Boursa) has emerged as the fourth best in the world in 2019 in terms of performance, while it has surpassed all others in the Gulf region since the start of this year, according to a local investment firm.
Kuwait Boursa's performance was worth 14.8 percent in the first half of the year, while Gulf markets had risen by 2.3 percent based on leading index provider Standard and Poor's rankings, read an NBK Capital report.
On other stock markets in the region, Bahrain bourse's monthly returns is at 2.6 percent, while Qatar's stock exchange sits at 1.7 percent and Saudi Arabia comes in second behind Kuwait at 12.7 percent in terms of performance, added the report.
On a related note, the report revealed that global stock markets have largely recovered after taking a plunge in the aftermath of the escalating trade war between China and the United States. (end) ak.nam
