RIYADH, June 15 (KUNA) -- The Saudi-led Arab coalition supporting legitimate leadership in Yemen said Saudi air defenses destroyed a drone sent by the Iranian-backed Houthi militias to attack the city of Abha Saturday.
Coalition spokesman Colonel Turki Al-Malki was quoted by official SPA news agency as saying houthis were targeting civilians and civilian facilities "in systematic and desperate attempts" without achieving their goals.
"We affirm our legitimate right to adopt and execute deterrent measures to deal with these hostile acts in line with the international humanitarian law," he said. (pickup previous) mdm.bs
