PARIS, March 10 (KUNA) -- The French Foreign Ministry confirmed Sunday that eight French nationals were among the 157 people on board the Ethiopian Airlines flight that crashed outside Addis Ababa.
In a statement tonight, the Ministry expressed condolences for the families of the victims, saying it set up a liaison office to arrange support for these families.
In a related development, Paris prosecutor office said they opened a probe into the tragic accident given the fact that there were French nationals among the victims.
The 737 Max-8 jetliner was on flight ET302 from the Ethiopian capital to Nairobi, capital of Kenya, on Sunday morning when it crashed leaving no survivors from the 149 passengers and eight crew members on board. (end)
