AMMAN, Jan 22 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Al-Najat charity has sent in a convoy boarding food and heating materials to aid 3,000 Syrian refugees in the kingdom.
Badr Al-Sharrah, the head of the charity humanitarian mission in Jordan, told KUNA on Tuesday that the dispatched supplies were specialized for Syrian refugees suffering from catastrophic humanitarian conditions at randomly-built camps.
The association will send in more charity convoys throughout the year to relieve the refugees, in a campaign themed "warmness and safety." Tens of thousands of refugees have recently taken the brunt of a fiery storm that demolished their tents and belongings. They are suffering from severe shortage of food and medical supplies, movement difficulties and lack of jobs.
Al-Sharrah, who appealed for donations to help the underprivileged refugees, said the charity delegation held a meeting with the Kuwaiti Ambassador Aziz Al-Daihani in Jordan. (end) mjb.rk
