KUWAIT, Jan 11 (KUNA) -- The price of Kuwaiti oil went up by USD 1.43 to USD 59.21 per barrel Thursday after being at USD 57.78 pb Wednesday, said the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC) Friday.
At the global level, the price went up due positive statements from US Federal Reserve bolstering shares and leading to surge in crude shares.
The upward trend slowed down because of the ongoing US-China trade talks.
The future price of the Brent crude went up by 24 cents to USD 61.68 pb, the same case with the West Texas Intermediate, which went up by 23 cents to USD 52.59 pb. (end) ad.gta
