CAIRO, Jan 8 (KUNA) -- Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shukry and his visiting Moroccan counterpart Nasser Bourita on Tuesday discussed the latest regional developments and challenges.
Both foreign ministers mainly considered the current situation in Syria, Libya and Yemen, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release.
They stressed the significance of propping up Arab cooperation promotion mechanisms in order to enable Arab countries to address various challenges, according to the release.
They further underlined that it is ineluctable for the Arab world to press for a fair settlement to the Palestinian issue in a way that could ensure the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, it added.
Closer bilateral economic, trade, cultural and people-to-people relations were also discussed during the Egyptian-Moroccan meeting. (end) hdr.mt
