CAIRO, Dec 11 (KUNA) -- Arab lawmakers on Tuesday pledged their support for the Yemeni peace talks between the government and Houthis currently ongoing in Sweden.
During an Arab Parliament session at the Cairo-based Arab League, they reiterated that any resolution of the conflict should be based on the Gulf Cooperation Council Initiative and national dialogue.
They also reiterated their support of the legitimate government of President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the efforts of the Saudi-led Arab Coalition aiming to put an end to the Houthi-led coup.
They went to express their fierce rejection of outside interference in the affairs of Yemen, namely by Iran.
In regards to Syria, the MPs underlined ongoing support of the people amid their crisis, calling on the Arab League to reassess its decision to freeze the country's membership. (end) mfm.sd
