BEIRUT, Nov 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's champion Mashari Al-Thufairi has been honored for snatching the 2018 Middle East rally championship trophy.
Speaking to KUNA on Tuesday, Al-Thufairi said President of Fأ©dأ©ration internationale d'automobile (FIA) Jean Todt came to Lebanon to honor the winners, in the presence of deputy president of FIA for the Middle East region Imad Lahoud.
He said this is the fourth time he wins the Middle East rally, noting that the three previous ones were in 2013, 2014 and 2017.
The Kuwaiti racer said that he dedicated the trophy to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Kuwaiti people.
Automobile Touring Club of Lebanon hosted Tuesday evening a festival to hand over trophies to the winners in the competition. (end) ayb.hm
