KUWAIT, Oct 27 (KUNA) -- Kuwait Port Authority (KPA) announced on Saturday suspending marine traffic in Shwaikh and Doha Ports due to bad weather conditions.
KPA added in a statement to KUNA today that the entry and exit operations of ships in Shuwaikh and Doha Ports suspended today at 1:00 p.m. due to bad weather, as the speed of the winds exceeded 35 miles per an hour, and visibility decreased to less than one nautical mile.
KPA announced yesterday the suspension of marine traffic in Shuaiba Port at 10:15 p.m. due to the unstable weather.
Kuwait Meteorological Department mentioned on its website on the internet that Kuwait is affected by fast and active norther western winds, exceeding 60 kilometers per an hour, rising dust and decreasing visibility to less than 1,000 meters in some areas, while sea waves exceeded seven feet.
